Nydia Rojas is a multi-talented vocalist, songwriter and guitarist. At the age of 15, she released her major label debut album, as the first Latina to sign with Arista Records/Latin. She performed for President Clinton's 2nd term inauguration celebration. Later that year, she was declared a "sensation" by USA Today, and an artist "destined to become a crossover smash" on the cover of Billboard Magazine. In the next five years another three solo albums followed. At the age of 20, Nydia's third album, Si Me Conocieras, was nominated for a Latin Grammy award. Soon afterwards, she embarked on several national tours with the late Mexican superstar, Juan Gabriel. This collaboration led to her fourth album, Nydia, in which Gabriel graciously sang two duets and recorded background vocals. He named her one of the best interpreters of his music.
Nydia has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in Latin music and has performed at venues all over North America including Madison Square Garden, Rose Bowl, Hollywood Bowl, Staples Center. Astrodome, Denver Coliseum, Gibson Amphitheatre, National Auditorium of Mexico, Fiesta Broadway, Miami Arena, Selland Arena, Toyota Arena (formerly Citizens Bank Arena), San Jose Arena, Footprint Arena (formerly America West Arena) among others.
